Join local artist Tim Dobert for a 1 day workshop!. Students will learn how to use soft, broken brushstrokes and warm and harmonious colors to create a cozy mood. Light and texture will be explored during this workshop with simple subjects and the focus will be on capturing a quiet wintery atmosphere vs. painting with sharp detail. All levels are welcome for this class and all supplies are included.

Description
Join artist Nancy Lyons for a Botanical Drawing workshop. During this class students will learn some history of botanical plates and the basics of Botanical Drawing. The process of Botanical Drawing begins with gradual toning with simple geometric shapes that turn into all the forms in nature. This process will make your piece three dimensional and pop off the page. We will begin our forms by layering neutral tones and putting on top color with colored pencils. By the end of class participants will have created a lovely vintage botanical plate of a Rose. All supplies are included for this workshop, but students may bring their own colored pencils if desired.

Description
Join award-winning local artist Matt Kestner for a 1 day demo and workshop. This class will help students improve their drawing skills and is open to artists of all skill levels. Students will learn how to use gestural lines and dynamic light to create an emotionally-rich image using charcoal on paper.
Matt will offer a demo (free & open to the public) from 10am-12:30pm. The workshop will start after a half-hour break at 1pm. Workshop students are welcome to come early for the demo or just come for the workshop starting at 1pm. All supplies for this workshop are included.

Camp Description
A 1 day workshop for your blooming artists! Students will participate in various painting and clay projects throughout the day and will be led by professional artists to develop their skills--while having much fun! All supplies are included for this workshop. Students must bring a packed lunch, water, and a snack for our breaks. Students should bring a smock or wear clothes they can get messy.
