Description
Learn how to draw in this introductory drawing course with learned artist Ilona Zabolotna. Drawing is an absolutely fundamental skill worth mastering--- no matter your medium of choice! Students will learn about how to "see" as an artist. Lessons on perspective, composition, contouring, shading, and color value will be given as students are guided through the rendering process. This 6 week course is perfect for those who are brand-new beginners or those who could benefit from a refresher. This session will focus on perspective. All supplies are provided (+ $15 due at booking).

The first week of each month is Art History Week! Students will have a formal lesson about art history, starting with the Paleolithic Age through our contemporary time, during the first class of each month (and we'll continue learning as we complete our projects!). Students can bring a notebook to take notes so they can continue applying their knowledge at home!

Learn how to paint with acrylics in this Private Studio Session. Cynthia will personally walk you through several different lessons and techniques such as composition, perspective, color mixing, brush work and more with the assumption that you've never painted before. If you have painted before but want to develop your skills in a focused and personalized environment, Cynthia will meet you where you're at.

Description
Join artist Nancy Lyons for a Botanical Drawing workshop. During this class students will learn some history of botanical plates and the basics of Botanical Drawing. The process of Botanical Drawing begins with gradual toning with simple geometric shapes that turn into all the forms in nature. This process will make your piece three dimensional and pop off the page. We will begin our forms by layering neutral tones and putting on top color with colored pencils. By the end of class participants will have created a lovely vintage botanical plate of a Rose. All supplies are included for this workshop, but students may bring their own colored pencils if desired.

Description
Let your children & teens experience it all during our Youth Art School course! Students will be exposed to many different mediums through drawing, painting, and ceramic lessons. Your blooming artists will be guided based on their needs and interests by our instructors and will be provided the tools necessary to build their artistic skillset and discover what they love. We'll have lots of fun while developing our talents week after week.
