Learn the art of hand building with clay in this hands-on, beginner-friendly course! Description
Learn how to draw in this introductory drawing course with learned artist Ilona Zabolotna. Drawing is an absolutely fundamental skill worth mastering--- no matter your medium of choice! Students will learn about how to "see" as an artist. Lessons on perspective, composition, contouring, shading, and color value will be given as students are guided through the rendering process. This 6 week course is perfect for those who are brand-new beginners or those who could benefit from a refresher. This session will focus on perspective. Learn how to paint with acrylics in this Private Studio Session. Cynthia will personally walk you through several different lessons and techniques such as composition, perspective, color mixing, brush work and more with the assumption that you've never painted before, or help you with whatever you desire. If you have painted before but want to develop your skills in a focused and personalized environment, Cynthia will meet you where you're at.

The first week of each month is Art History Week! Students will have a formal lesson about art history, starting with the Paleolithic Age through our contemporary time, during the first class of each month (and we'll continue learning as we complete our projects!). Students can bring a notebook to take notes so they can continue applying their knowledge at home!

Description
Come explore pottery with us! Try your hands at the pottery wheel and learn basic throwing techniques during this 2 hour introductory class. This class is great for those who have never done pottery before and want to give it a go without committing to a course just yet. All supplies, including clay and pottery tools, are included for this class. Students should not expect to produce any work to be fired or taken home; rather, students should expect to gain hands on experience and learn if pottery is for them!

Description
Hollyhocks are tall plants that are known for their towering stalks and vibrant flowers ,often symbolizing ambition and the circle of life. During this 2.5 hour class students will learn some history of botanical plates and the process of Botanical Drawing , which begins with gradual toning of simple geometric shapes that comprise all the forms in nature. We will begin our forms by layering neutral tones and adding top color on top with colored pencils. By the end of class students will have created their own version of this eye-catching perennial.

Description
As daytime becomes shorter and temperatures become cooler, leaves begin to change color and, thus, the season of Autumn begins! In this class students will learn some history of botanical plates and the process of Botanical Drawing, which begins with gradual toning of simple geometric shapes that comprise all the forms in nature. We will begin our forms by layering neutral tones and adding color on top with colored pencils. By the end of class students will have created their own version of beautiful Autumn leaves.
