Description
Learn the basics of working with pastels from artist Kathie Bush in this 6-week pastel course. Kathie will guide you through a variety of paintings throughout this 6 week course, which will enable you to become familiar with the beautiful medium of pastel. Kathie will share her knowledge of not only the materials that a pastelist utilizes but also a variety of techniques that are at your disposal in order to achieve a luminescent painting. We will also discuss composition, color and value (the workhorse in every great painting). The beauty that surrounds us each and every day is something to be savored and as an artist we challenge ourselves to try and capture the essence of those moments that we are fortunate enough to gaze upon!

Supplies: You may purchase our Starter Painter's Kit, which includes all the supplies you'll need to start painting, at our studio ($50). Alternatively, please bring your own canvas, paints, & brushes.
Description
Learn how to paint with acrylics in this Private Studio Session. Cynthia will personally walk you through several different lessons and techniques such as composition, perspective, color mixing, brush work and more with the assumption that you've never painted before. If you have painted before but want to develop your skills in a focused and personalized environment, Cynthia will meet you where you're at.
*After your private, 1-on-1 session, you are welcomed and encouraged to continue your work in our Guided Studio Session (10am-12pm | $25/Session or $75/4 Sessions). During this 2-hour session Cynthia will continue to guide and support you, along with the other students, however you may need.
