Description
Learn how to draw in this introductory drawing course with learned artist Ilona Zabolotna. Drawing is an absolutely fundamental skill worth mastering--- no matter your medium of choice! Students will learn about how to "see" as an artist. Lessons on perspective, composition, contouring, shading, and color value will be given as students are guided through the rendering process. This 6 week course is perfect for those who are brand-new beginners or those who could benefit from a refresher. This session will focus on perspective. All supplies are provided (+ $15 due at booking).

THURSDAYS
PRIVATE ACRYLIC STUDIO SESSION

When: Thursdays | 9-10am (1 Hour)

Supplies: Students will need a canvas, paints, brushes, and a palette. You can purchase our Painter's Supply Kit here at our studio ($50), which includes most of what you'll need to get started (brushes are sold separately).
Description
Learn how to paint with acrylics in this Private Studio Session. Cynthia will personally walk you through several different lessons and techniques such as composition, perspective, color mixing, brush work and more with the assumption that you've never painted before. If you have painted before but want to develop your skills in a focused and personalized environment, Cynthia will meet you where you're at.
*After your private, 1-on-1 session, you are welcomed and encouraged to continue your work during our Perpetual Acrylic Painting (10am-12pm | $25/Single Session or $75/Monthly Bundle). During this 2-hour session the instructor will continue to guide and support you, along with the other students, however you may need.

Description
Learn how to paint with acrylics during our Perpetual Acrylic Painting sessions. An instructor will serve to guide you in painting technique, composition, color mixing, brush work, etc. Bring your own painting or start a new painting during your session!

Description
Join award-winning local artist Matt Kestner for a 1 day demo and workshop. This class will help students improve their drawing skills and is open to artists of all skill levels. Students will learn how to use gestural lines and dynamic light to create an emotionally-rich image using charcoal on paper.
Matt will offer a demo (free & open to the public) from 10am-12:30pm. The workshop will start after a half-hour break at 1pm. Workshop students are welcome to come early for the demo or just come for the workshop starting at 1pm. All supplies for this workshop are included.

Description
Join artist Nancy Lyons for a Botanical Drawing workshop. Spring is here and flowers are beginning to bloom! During this class students will learn the basics of Botanical Drawing. The process of Botanical Drawing begins with gradual toning with simple geometric shapes that turn into all the forms in nature. We will begin our forms by layering neutral tones and putting color on top with colored pencils. This process will make your piece appear three dimensional and pop off the page! By the end of class participants will have created their own version of these lovely Tulips. All supplies are included for this workshop, but students may bring their own colored pencils if desired.
