Description
Learn how to draw in this introductory drawing course with learned artist Ilona Zabolotna. Drawing is an absolutely fundamental skill worth mastering--- no matter your medium of choice! Students will learn about how to "see" as an artist. Lessons on perspective, composition, contouring, shading, and color value will be given as students are guided through the rendering process. This 6 week course is perfect for those who are brand-new beginners or those who could benefit from a refresher. This session will focus on perspective. All supplies are provided (+ $15 due at booking).

Description
Learn how to paint with acrylics in this Private Studio Session. Cynthia will personally walk you through several different lessons and techniques such as composition, perspective, color mixing, brush work and more with the assumption that you've never painted before. If you have painted before but want to develop your skills in a focused and personalized environment, Cynthia will meet you where you're at.
*After your private, 1-on-1 session, you are welcomed and encouraged to continue your work during our Perpetual Acrylic Painting (10am-12pm | $25/Single Session or $75/Monthly Bundle). During this 2-hour session the instructor will continue to guide and support you, along with the other students, however you may need.

Description
Come and learn the basics for this meditative art form during this 1 day workshop! Nature is the heart of Chinese brush painting. It is intended to be a meditative and spontaneous art form, capturing the essence of an image or idea with very little attention to precise details. Using the “Four Treasures,” the brush, ink stick, ink stone and the paper, you will learn the techniques to create the “Four Gentleman,” the bamboo, orchid, plum and chrysanthemum. Each “Gentleman” introduces a new stroke or idea and reinforces techniques already learned. Continual demonstrations will be provided throughout the workshop along with individual attention. This workshop will concentrate on learning the brush strokes to create the bamboo. All supplies will be provided (+ $10 due at booking). Returning students will review bamboo basics, learn how to load your brush for values, and learn how to work on rice paper. Returning students will then begin learning the strokes of the orchid. Returning students will need to purchase additional supplies from the instructor during the workshop; please email us for a supply pricing list after booking!
Linda Schultz has an MS in Art Education and a Certificate of Completion from the prestigious Art Form Gallery for Studies in Chinese Brush Painting. She has studied with various experts and master painters for more than two decades, including in the city of Jan Ying, China. Linda's work is in many private collections and galleries.

Pour painting is just what it sounds like-- a fluid, expressive art form that yields wonderful abstract results. 3D pour painting involves pour painting over a 3 dimensional object-- and in this workshop, that object is a pretty-shaped vase! Students will be led step-by-step to create this wonderful decoration! All supplies for this workshop are included. Students can bring up to two (2) stemmed glasses to decorate with their leftover paint!
