My work delves into the interwoven threads that connect us in life. Throughout our lives, it becomes evident that some relationships are integral parts of our upbringing, and they will always be there - others earn our trust and love. These figures come in many shapes and sizes, whether it be a sibling, friend, pet, or a stuffed animal loved as if it's alive. My work is an effort to balance the multifaceted nature of growing up. We should look back on what defines childhood and revisit, reflect, and cherish not just the pleasant memories but also the layered emotions and experiences that shape who we become. I choose to honor moments and subjects through materials. Sometimes, this means methodical detail work to symbolize depth or patience. Other times, it's thoughtful color choice and linework. I hope to add charm back into life and adorn each moment and meaningful memory.
